Good luck to everyone involved at LincolnHack
Monkfish Web Design would like to wish good luck to all those attending the LincolnHack.
LincolnHack is a 24 hour coding competition in the heart of Lincoln. The basic idea is that teams of up to four people compete for some fantastic prizes by starting with an idea and building it into something.
The teams will build something using code, but what will be built is up to the hackers which truly allows creativity to flow and skills to flourish. Anything goes within reason as there are specific challenges which are set on the day. Challengers can also work on more than one project too.
These types of event are so beneficial to people wanting to get into industry or find jobs. Networking and showing off your skills to many businesses is perfect for those looking to launch their careers.
The event provides food, Wi-Fi and power for those competing. Catering will be done by one of our clients; the Salted Orange Food Company.
Salted Orange are providing a wide range of comfort food dishes to keep the hackers fuelled, with beef chilli, chicken korma and vegetarian curry on the dinner menu. Salted Orange are fuelling the hackers with great quality local produce which can only be beneficial to those working on their idea.
Often at these kinds of events, easy to buy junk food would be the staple. However Sam Owen – who owns Salted Orange – has worked hard to create a versatile menu which will keep the attendees fuelled with good food.
Salted Orange are also providing breakfast to the hackers as well; if they are awake!
We wish the LincolnHack staff, hackers and Salted Orange the best of luck over the weekend!
