Situation Vacant: junior web designer (Lincoln)
Monkfish Web Design are looking for a Junior Web Designer to join their Lincoln team. The role will require the successful candidate to build brochure and ecommerce websites to our expanding portfolio of clients. Working in one of businesses most creative sectors this is a chance to express and explore your creative side. We have a wide variety of clients from differing industries including the Music Industry, Property/interior design, banking and finance.

You will predominantly be building and maintain websites built in content management systems including WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Magento, tailoring site designs and structure according to client’s requirements. Themes or templates must be built either to Photoshop designs or adapted to suit a client’s existing branding, ensuring that the site works with all standard modern medias, following the MVC framework when developing sites.
Are you?
A dynamic web designer with excellent project management skills proficient in:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript
- Photoshop
If so this maybe the role for you
- The ideal candidate would also know PHP/MYSQL, have some experience at web design, knowledge of a CMS like WordPress, Joomla or Drupal is desirable.
- Be conversant with WC3 standards and responsive layouts.
- A knowledge of FTP, DNS configuration for domains and emails and understanding of php settings on hosting accounts is important.
